Play it Smart and Graduate with a College Degree!

Academy emphasizes in “College Fit”

  • 1. Held at Radford High School in it’s 7th year, Game Plan Football Academy 2010 was successfully organized by Education-1st, Hawaii Inc., a non profit 501c3 organization.  Serving over 250 athletes and their families including the Jr. Football Academy and 7th to 12th grade participants, the program was lead by Alvin Mariteragi, program director and staff.
  • 2. All participants in the academy are encouraged to attend an 8-month Chalk Talk Series for academic and college advising.
  • 3. Stay tuned via email, txt, facebook and twitter for more information concerning the “Chalk Talk”.  Or watch OC 16, “GPA, Play it Smart” for updates.
  • 4. A recruiting profile system will be completed in 3 months.
  • 5. All 2012 to 2016 graduates, stay tuned for the online application for next year’s program.  Take advantage of the discounted price early.

While other football camp services leave the state of Hawaii, Education-1st maintains the focus to assist the majority with not only Division I football programs but all levels such as the Division II, III, NAIA and NJCAA.   If only 5% of all high school football athletes will play NCAA football and less than 2% will receive a Division I scholarship, Education-1st encourages families to look at other college options especially when 85% of scholarships and financial assistance fall outside of Division I.  Education-1st staff will continue to educate and inform parents and families about the many options that student athletes can pursue to “Play it Smart and Graduate with a College Degree”.  Stay tuned to more information about how student athletes can navigate the college process.
